Dear Anita,
Hi, I had the pleasure of talking with your husband Harold on the phone today, and he told me that you were in the hospital. I hope and pray that you are feeling better and that you recover quickly.
As I briefly explained to Harold, I am tracing my genealogy and I believe that you may know information which I am hoping to find. First let me tell you a little of what I know, and then maybe you can fill in the blank spots for me. I apologize in advance if any of my questions are too personal. I am extremely curious about this history and would like to know as much as possible.
I understand that your maiden name is Anita Irene Rancourt, and on April 17, 1954 you married John B. Young. During that time you had 1 daughter, Rhonda. You and John were not together for very long and divorced at some point prior to his death on March 27, 1967. I understand he was killed by a tree which fell on him.
I would like to know a little more about that time, such as approximate divorce date, birth dates for yourself, John Young and Rhonda. I am assuming that Rhonda was raised by you and not John, although I may be mistaken.
I would also appreciate knowing about your personal history up to the present time.
As for a little bit about
myself, I was born in Bangor on March 28, 1959. I was adopted into a wonderful
family and lived on Mt Desert Island until 1966. At that time we moved to Lansing,
MI where we lived until I was about 15. After that we moved to Long Island,
NY, where I finished high school. My parents moved to Washington, DC after I
graduated and I stayed on Long Island. I worked for a company there for a couple
of years until they made me a warehouse manager and sent me to Indianapolis
to open a warehouse for them. I left that company and went to work for another
company, where I eventually met my wife. She lived in Denver when we met, so
I moved to Denver, and then we were married in 1982. We left Denver and moved
back to Long Island for 3 years, and eventually moved to Iowa in 1986. We have
lived here ever since.
I have two wonderful kids, MJ (Mark Joseph) who is 16, and Alicia who is 13.
I believe our paths have crossed in the past, and I am enjoying re-tracing the footsteps. It is not my intention to intrude on or disrupt anyone's life, I just have lots of questions.
I hope and pray that you are feeling better and I look forward to talking with you in the near future. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any information or questions you have.
Take care & God Bless
